Scott Scores Brace in Men's Soccer's Win Over Culver-Stockton

Canton, MO. - The Ottawa men's soccer team picked up their first win of the season as they defeated Culver-Stockton by a score of 3-0 on Wednesday evening.

Cale Scott scored the first goal of the game in the 32nd minute, assisted by Niels Koert, which gave Ottawa a 1-0 lead going into halftime. Scott struck again in the 60th minute, this time unassisted, and Bence Molnar added to the lead in the 85th minute with a goal of his own, assisted by Scott.

Cale Scott proved to be the difference maker, contributing all three times Ottawa scored, with two goals and one assist. Bence Molnar scored the remaining goal, and Niels Koert made one assist. Marko de Sa Faria made five saves en route to a clean sheet in goal.

Ottawa (1-2-0, 0-0-0 KCAC) returns to the field on Saturday, September 7 as they travel to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for an away game at (11) Mid-America Christian. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
