Women's Basketball and York Meet in Wilson Field House on Saturday

The Braves lost their 10th straight game on Wednesday night, falling 78-53 to the University of Saint Mary Spires. Ottawa shot 29.6 percent from the floor, 50 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 56 percent from the free throw line. Nora Ford led OU with 16 points and eight rebounds. She also had three assists, one block, and three steals. Abbie Sextro finished with seven points, seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal.

Ottawa is 5-14 overall, 2-10 in the KCAC, and 2-6 inside of Wilson Field House this season. At home this season, the Braves are averaging 73.9 points per game, shooting 38.9 percent from the floor, and 29.2 percent from behind the 3-pt line. Opponents are scoring 76.8 points per game, are shooting 44 percent from the floor, and 33.6 percent from behind the 3-pt line. OU has lost six straight games at home. Ottawa's last win inside of Wilson Field House was Nov. 8 against Baker. The Braves won the game 78-69.

Dominique Schutte leads OU in scoring (12.7), Abbie Sextro is Ottawa's leader in rebounding (6.7), Nora Ford leads the team in assists (2.4), Sextro is the Braves' leader in blocks (0.6), and Ford is Ottawa's leader in steals (2.2) per game.

York University is 6-10 overall, 4-9 in the KCAC, and is in 11th place in the conference standings.  YU is 3-6 on the road this season. The Panthers enter Saturday afternoon's game coming off a 76-56 win over Avila University on Wednesday night in York.

Destiny Shepherd leads the Panthers in scoring (14.7), Ashley Rubio is YU's leader in rebounding (6.0), Pasiko Hvichiani is York's leader in assists (3.6), Alliyana Page leads the team in blocks (0.6), and Hvichiani is YU's leader in steals (2.2) per game.

This season, York is averaging 64.2 points, 36.6 rebounds, and 13.6 assists per game. YU is shooting 40.9 percent from the floor, 31.7 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 64.7 percent from the free throw line.

On the road this season, York is scoring 63.7 points per game, shooting 39.8 percent from the floor, and 30.3 percent from behind the 3-pt line.

In their six wins, the Panthers averaged 71.8 points per game and shooting 44.8 percent from the floor. In York's 10 losses, they averaged 59.9 points and shot 38.5 percent from the floor.
