OTTAWA, Kan. – The (RV) Ottawa University men's wrestling team will head to York, Nebraska on Thursday, January 9
th to dual the York Panthers.
Ottawa last competed at the Eagle Duals. OU defeated Waldorf on a tiebreaker on December 14
th,
Jayden Nowell pinned Marco Gandy in the 141lb weight division.
Asher Larson won a 10-4 decision over Ronald Hooten in the 157lb weight class.
Parker Guge took down Ellis Hughes in the 174lb.
Jaron Alf and Dylan Weidl won by forfeit in their respective weight divisions, Alf in the 197lb and Weidl in the 285lb.
Parker Guge won two more matches at the Duals, both by falls.
Ottawa is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top 20 Coaches Poll.
Bobby Robinson is ranked 25th in the 141lb weight division.
The Braves are 5-1 all-time against the York Panthers. OU won in 2023 against York, 43-7 and OU is 2-1 on the road against the Panthers.
