KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Ottawa women's soccer team earned another conference point as they tied Avila 2-2 on Wednesday afternoon in Kansas City.
After a scoreless first half, Ottawa got on the board with a
Samantha Pruett goal, assisted by
Peyton Hack. They then doubled their lead after
Emma Stillings scored on a free kick in the 83rd minute. However Avila would score in the 84th and 86th minutes to salvage a tie.
Ottawa led total shots twelve to six and shots on goal five to four.
Makena Tapia made two saves in goal for Ottawa.
Ottawa (2-5-2, 1-3-1 KCAC) returns to the field on Saturday, October 4 as they travel to McPherson, Kansas for a game at McPherson College. That game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.
