Natalucci's Four Goals Highlight (25) Men's Soccer's Battering of Bethany

LINDSBORG, Kan. - The Ottawa men's soccer team extended their unbeaten streak going as they beat Bethany 12-0 on Saturday evening in Lindsborg.

It did not take long for Ottawa to score their first goal as Khalil Al Harthi found Jevan Purcell-Jackson in the seventh minute. Felipe Padierna joined the party in the tenth minute off an assist by Alonso Basauri. It was then Antonio Natalucci's time to shine, who scored the next three goals in the 24th, 25th, and 28th minutes, the former two assisted by Basauri and the latter by Simon Kindt. Purcell-Jackson scored once again in the 41st minute, once again assisted by Basauri, and Ottawa led 6-0 at half. Matias Mazieres opened up the second half scoring in the 65th minute with a goal assisted by Thomas Bloomfield, and Kindt found Daniel Raja in the 69th minute. Kindt made another assist in the 77th minute, this time scored by Mazieres. In the 80th minute, Arminas Gecas assisted Bloomfield in his first collegiate goal, and Natalucci piled on a fourth goal in the 82nd minute, once again assisted by Basauri. Purcell-Jackson completed his hat trick in the 85th minute off an assist by Natalucci, which rounded out the scoring for the night.

Ottawa led total shots 28 to five and shots on goal 17 to one. Nicolo Cinelli made one save, and combined for a clean sheet with David Martinez. Ottawa's 12 goals tonight is the most in a single game since their 12-0 win over Nebraska Christian in 2017, and the most against an NAIA opponent since 1978, a 12-1 win over Lindenwood.

Ottawa (8-1-5, 7-0-2 KCAC) returns to the field on Wednesday, October 22 as they travel to Winfield, Kansas for an away game at Southwestern College. That game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 PM.
