(25) Men's Soccer Comes Back to Beat Southwestern

WINFIELD, Kan. - The Ottawa men's soccer team extended their unbeaten streak in dramatic fashion as they beat Southwestern 2-1 on Wednesday evening in Winfield.

After a deadlocked and scoreless first half, Southwestern struck the first blow in the 65th minute as Jack Bagley-Etheridge found Connor Inlow for the goal. That lead would not last long, as Antonio Natalucci tied the game up in the 77nd minute, and gave Ottawa the lead and eventually the win in the 78th, the latter goal being assisted by Arminas Gecas.

Ottawa led total shots 24 to six and shots on goal five to four. David Martinez made three saves in goal for Ottawa.

Ottawa (9-1-5, 8-0-2 KCAC) returns to the field on Saturday, October 25 as they host York University at AdventHealth Field. That game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 PM.
