(25) Men's Soccer Can't Break Deadlock With York

OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa men's soccer team saw their winning streak snapped but kept their unbeaten streak alive as they tied York 1-1 on Saturday evening at AdventHealth Field.

After a fairly quiet first half from both teams, Ottawa broke the silence in the 70th minute when Alonso Basauri found Antonio Natalucci. York tied the game up in the 87th minute off a free kick goal by Tomas Viralhadas, and the game remained tied when the clock struck zero.

Ottawa led total shots nine to five, York led shots on goal three to two. David Martinez made two saves in goal for Ottawa.

Ottawa (9-1-6, 8-0-3 KCAC) returns to the field on Wednesday, October 29 as they host Friends University in their 2025 regular season home finale at AdventHealth Field. That game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 PM.
