WINFIELD, Kan. - The Ottawa women's soccer team earned a point as they played Southwestern to a scoreless tie on Wednesday evening in Winfield.
Though both teams had their chances, neither was able to finish. Southwestern led total shots eight to five, both teams took five shots each on goal. 
Makena Tapia made five saves in goal en route to her first solo collegiate clean sheet.
Ottawa (4-6-4, 3-4-3 KCAC) returns to the field on Saturday, October 25 as they host York University at AdventHealth Field. That game is scheduled to kick off at 5:00 PM.
