OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa men's soccer team extended their winning streak to four as they defeated Evangel by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday evening at AdventHealth Field.
The scoring began in the 25th minute when
Alonso Basauri found
Jevan Purcell-Jackson on a long ball, who walked it in for a goal. Going into halftime, the score was 1-0 in favor of Ottawa. Coming out of the break, that score wouldn't last long as
Antonio Natalucci hit Basauri with a cross in the 46th minute.
Ottawa took 15 total shots with five of them being on goal, all while holding Evangel to zero total shots.
David Martinez recorded a complete game clean sheet for Ottawa.
Ottawa (6-1-5, 5-0-2 KCAC) returns to the field on Saturday, October 11 as they host Kansas Wesleyan University at AdventHealth Field. That game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 PM.
