OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa women's soccer team broke their losing streak as they beat Evangel University by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday evening at AdventHealth Field.
The one score in the game came in the 20th minute as 
Riley Smith converted a penalty kick. Evangel applied offensive pressure in much of the second half but was not able to capitalize.
Evangel outshot Ottawa 13 to four in total shots and nine to three in shots on goal.
Ottawa (3-6-2, 2-4-1 KCAC) returns to the field on Saturday, October 11 as they host Kansas Wesleyan University at AdventHealth Field. That game is scheduled to kick off at 5:00 PM.
