Men's Basketball is Defeated in and Exhibition Matchup at Washburn

TOPEKA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's basketball team dropped its exhibition contest on Saturday afternoon at Lee Arena, falling 115–30 to no. 2 Washburn University (NCAA II).

The Ichabods opened the game with a rapid scoring run and maintained control throughout, using pressure defense and efficient shooting to build a sizable lead.

Ottawa's early points came in the first half on drives to the rim and mid-range jumpers, but Washburn's transition scoring and perimeter shooting helped the home team surge ahead before halftime.
In the second half, the Braves continued to battle on the defensive end and worked to generate inside looks, but Washburn's depth and pace extended the margin.

OU shot 22.7 percent from the floor, 21.7 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 62.5 percent from the free throw line. Landyn Tyler led the Braves with six points.

Who is Next
Ottawa (5-3, 2-1) returns to the court against KCAC opponent, Southwestern College, on Wednesday, Dec. 3 in Wilson Field House. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
