BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's basketball team continued its hot start to the 2025-26 season, cruising to a 91-56 victory over Baker University on Monday night. The Braves controlled the game on both ends of the floor, shooting 47 percent from the field while forcing 26 turnovers and out-rebounding the Wildcats 47-33.
First Half
Ottawa jumped out early and never looked back, leading 20-14 after the first quarter. 
Tiyani Rollins hit a pair of early threes to spark the offense, while 
Ashlynn Arnsman added four points and strong rebounding inside. The Braves' balanced attack continued into the second quarter, as 
McKinley Kruger and Rollins combined for key buckets during a 20-11 run that sent Ottawa into halftime with a 40-25 advantage.
Defensively, Ottawa held Baker to 31 percent shooting in the half and just one made three-pointer, while converting turnovers into transition points to build separation.
Second Half
The Braves erupted in the third quarter, shooting a blistering 68 percent (13-of-19) from the floor while outscoring Baker 31-13. 
Miranda Patterson's three-pointer and Kruger's inside presence fueled the surge as Ottawa extended its lead to 71-38 heading into the fourth.
Ottawa's bench continued to contribute in the final frame, outscoring Baker's reserves 42-24 overall. The Braves' lead ballooned to as many as 39 points late in the quarter before closing out the decisive win.
Team Leaders
Ottawa dominated the paint (46-18) and turned 26 Baker turnovers into 30 points. The Braves also scored 15 fast-break points and led wire-to-wire after taking the advantage late in the first quarter.

Ottawa (2-0) returns to the court on Wednesday, November 12 against Graceland University in Wilson Field House. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
