Men's Basketball Falls at Home to William Woods, 84-68

OTTAWA, Kan. — The Ottawa University men's basketball team suffered its first home loss of the season on Friday night, falling 84–68 to William Woods University inside Wilson Field House.

First Half
Ottawa came out with early energy, trading baskets with William Woods through the first 10 minutes. Landyn Tyler and Kuol Reech provided interior scoring, while Cameron Lawson added key drives to keep the Braves within reach.

However, the Owls' offense heated up late in the half behind Mark Onyejekwe, who hit multiple three-pointers to spark a 10–2 William Woods run. Ottawa struggled to match the pace from deep, connecting on just two shots from beyond the arc in the half. The Owls carried a 46–35 lead into the break.

Second Half
Ottawa continued to battle in the second half but despite the effort, William Woods maintained its rhythm offensively. Onyejekwe capped his night with 21 points, and Tahki Chievous added 16 points and nine rebounds as the Owls held off multiple Ottawa surges. The Braves were held to 36 percent shooting from the field and just 12 percent from three in the game, while the Owls shot nearly 48 percent overall.
