OTTAWA, Kan. – The #12 Ottawa University women's wrestling team is back in action on Saturday, by hosting the Ottawa Open. The Ottawa Open will be held at Ottawa High School, the address for Ottawa High School is 1120 S. Ash Street Ottawa, KS 66067.
Ottawa is coming off an impressive showing at the Falcon Open.
Aynsley Fink got fourth place in the 103lb weight division, Fink went 3-2 in her matches.
Sigrun Metzger won two matches in the 110lb weight class to take home fourth place. Finishing in fourth place in the 117lb weight class was
Addison Saporito, Saporito won two matches.
Peyton Hand earned second place in the 124lb weight division, Hand won three matches.
Aileen Lester secured third place in the 138lb weight class, Lester won four matches.
Kaydence Bonewell also won two matches in the 138lb.
Ciera Hutton-Spieker placed third overall in the 180lb weight class and won four matches. In the 207lb weight division,
Siara Arrington took down two opponents to secure fourth place.
Faith Spicer won one match in the 207lb weight class as well.
The Ottawa Braves are ranked 12
th in the first regular season NAIA Top 20 poll.
Aynsley Fink is ranked 10
th overall in the 103lb weight division.
Addison Saporito is 13
th in the 117lb weight division.
Peyton Hand is 16
th in the 124lb weight class. In the 138lb weight class,
Aileen Lester is 12
th and
Kaydence Bonewell is 18
th.
Livia Swift is 15
th in the 145lb weight division.
Ciera Hutton-Spieker is eighth in the 180lb and
Siara Arrington is 20
th.
Kena Leonard is fifth overall in the 207lb weight division.
