OTTAWA, Kan. – The (RV) Ottawa men's wrestling team is headed to Bartlesville, Oklahoma to compete in a dual against Oklahoma Wesleyan on Friday and OKWU Open on Saturday. These two competitions will wrap up the first half of the 2025-26 season.
At the Doane Open on December 6
th,
Julian Gorring earned a third place finish in the 184lb weight class.
Gorring won five matches on the day in the 184lb weight class, he defeated Lane Kiser (Cumberlands) in the third place match on a 16-9 decision.
Kallen Koelzer went 3-2 at the Open in the 125lb weight division and
Skyler Anderson won one match in the 125lb as well.
Samuel Moery secured two wins in the 133lb weight division and
Asher Larson picked up a win in the 141lb weight class.
Colston Parks defeated two opponents in the 149lb weight division.
Cale Hein won one match in the 157lb.
Trenten Harris took down two opponents in the 165lb weight division and
Jaelyn Sides also won two matches in the 184lb weight class.
Ottawa is Receiving Votes for the second straight poll.

In 2024, Ottawa was defeated by Oklahoma Wesleyan, 23-22. In the dual,
Asher Larson won an 11-9 decision over Ryan Dement in the 149lb weight class. In the 157lb weight division,
Cale Hein secured a 9-5 decision win over Cale Glover.
