Women's Basketball Downs Southwestern, 87–53

OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa University women's basketball team delivered a complete performance on Wednesday evening inside Wilson Field House, rolling past Southwestern College 87–53.The Braves controlled the game wire-to-wire, never trailing and building their lead to as many as 35 points in the fourth quarter.

First Quarter
Ottawa opened the game with sharp ball movement and efficient shooting, jumping out to an 18–9 lead after 10 minutes. Dominique Schutte and Hailey Rademan each connected from long range early, while Aaliyah Brown's presence on the glass helped the Braves control tempo.

Second Quarter
The Braves continued to apply pressure on both ends. Clare Williams converted inside, and McKinley Kruger knocked down a key three as Ottawa extended its lead. Molly Martin provided an offensive spark off the bench with a pair of threes, helping the Braves take a 40–29 advantage into halftime.

Third Quarter
Ottawa broke the game open in the third period, outscoring the Moundbuilders 21–10. The Braves produced multiple stops on the defensive end and turned them into transition points. Schutte buried her third three of the night, and Brown added second-chance points as Ottawa pushed the lead beyond 20.

Fourth Quarter
The Braves closed the evening with their highest-scoring quarter, pouring in 26 points. Martin continued her strong night with another three, and the Ottawa bench contributed valuable minutes as the lead swelled to 35. A late bucket with 25 seconds remaining marked Ottawa's final field goal in the dominant victory.

Ottawa University Ottawa shot 49.3% (34–69) from the field, including 13 made threes, while outrebounding Southwestern 46–23. The Braves dominated the paint (36–24), second-chance points (13–4), and bench scoring (36–10).
