OTTAWA, Kan. – The #13 Ottawa University women's wrestling team is headed to the Doane Open on Friday in Crete, Nebraska.

At the Missouri Valley Open, in the 103lb weight class, Aynsley Fink secured three wins. Alejandra Mezano took down two opponents in the 110lb weight class. Addison Saporito won three matches in the 117lb weight division and Sigrun Metzger won two matches. Aileen Lester went 5-2 in the 138lb weight class to place seventh overall. Kaitlyn Thorn won two matches in the 145lb weight class and Livia Swift added a win also. In the 160lb weight class, Justice Thomas won one match. KyLee Lindsley took down three opponents in the 180lb weight division and Ciera Hutton-Spieker added three wins as well. Kena Leonard had one win in the 207lb weight class.

At the Doane Open in 2024-25, Aynsley Fink took down three opponents in the 110lb weight division, wins on a fall, technical fall and a decision.  Peyton Hand took home second place in the 124lb weight division, Hand went 5-1 in her matches and won four of them by falls. Addison Saporito won four matches in the 124lb weight division. In the 131lb weight class, Lainey Farley won one match. Livia Swift went 4-2 in the 138lb weight division, winning three of the matches by falls. Kaydence Bonewell and Leilani Caamal each won two matches in the 145lb weight class.
Darby Weidl secured first place in the 160lb weight division, she won all six of her matches and won the first place match on a fall in 53 seconds. GiGi Jones and Haley Flores also won matches in the 160lb weight class Jones picked up two wins and Flores had one.Ciera Hutton-Spieker had five wins and Siara Arrington had three in the 180lb as well. Hannah Jackson competed in the 207lb weight class and came in third place, Jackson won six matches to take home third.

Ottawa is ranked 13^th in the latest NAIA Top 20 Poll. Aynsley Fink is 12^th overall in the 103lb weight division. Addison Saporito is 15^th in the 117lb weight class. Peyton Hand is 14^th in the 124lb weight class. Aileen Lester and Kaydence Bonewell are ranked in the 138lb, Lester is 10^th and Bonewell is 19^th. In the 145lb weight class, Kaitlyn Thorn is 18^th and Livia Swift is 19^th. Ciera Hutton-Spieker is ninth in the 180lb and Siara Arrington is 19^th. Kena Leonard is 11^th and Faith Spicer is 14^th in the 207lb weight class.
