SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The Ottawa University softball team went 1-1 on Saturday at the ASBSC Softball Classic. Ottawa defeated the College of Saint Mary 2-1 but fell 3-0 to Mount Marty University.

The Flames broke the scoreless tie in the top of the third inning, scoring on a passed ball to take the 1-0 lead. The Braves answered in the bottom of the fourth.
Addison Spencer led off the Braves with a double to left center.
Katie Enneking scored her with a home run to left center, giving the Braves a 2-1 lead. It was Enneking's first home run of the season.
Cesara Roque only allowed one hit by the Flames in the final three innings of play and OU took the 2-1 victory.

The Lancers took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Mount Marty increased its lead over the Braves with a run the bottom of the fourth, 3-0.
Ottawa loaded the bases in the top of the sixth. The Braves also had a runner reach base on a MMU miscue in the top of the seventh but was unable to get a run across home plate and the Lancers took the 3-0 victory.

Ottawa (6-4) returns to the diamond on Sunday, Feb. 23 at the American State Bank Sports Complex. OU will play Dakota Wesleyan University in a double header. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
