PARKVILLE, Mo. – The Ottawa University men's volleyball team was defeated 3-0; 25-14, 25-15, 25-20; by (9) Park University on Tuesday evening.
How it Happened
- Ottawa scored the first four points of set one to take the early lead over Park. A kill by Marko Zolnjan and a block by Zolnjan and Kadeem Morris gave the Braves a 9-7 lead. Park rallied and put together a 4-1 run to take an 11-10 lead over OU. Ottawa scored the next two points, a kill by Morris and a Park attacking error, to retake the lead 12-11. The teams exchanged points and Ottawa led 14-13. Park answered by ending the match on a 12-0 run, taking the 25-14 victory.
- Park opened set two with a 5-1 lead over the Braves. Ottawa cut the Park lead to 6-4 after a block by Morris and Leo Betin. The Pirates answered with a 6-1 run to take a 12-5 lead over OU. The Braves were unable to rally and Park took the 25-15 victory.
- A block by Morris gave OU a 4-1 lead over Park in set three. A kill by Leo Betin and a Park attacking error gave the Braves a 10-4 lead. The Pirates rallied, taking a 16-13 lead over the Braves. Ottawa was unable to stage a comeback and Park took the 25-20 victory.
