OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's volleyball team defeated Graceland University 3-0; 25-10, 25-20, 25-21; on Saturday afternoon in the Mabee Center.
How it Happened
- The Braves jumped out to a 9-1 lead in the first set. Three straight kills by Macort Pickup gave the Braves a 16-4 lead. Ottawa held the Yellowjackets to six points for the remainder of the set, taking the 25-10 victory.
- Ottawa took a 7-5 lead to start set two on a GU attacking error. Kills by Marko Zolnjan and Morris increased the OU lead 16-12. The Yellowjackets never threatened the Brave lead and Ottawa took the 25-20 victory.
- Graceland led 7-5 in set three. Ottawa rallied and after a kill by Pickup, the set was tied10-10. The lead went back and forth with Graceland having the 18-17 advantage over the Braves. Ottawa respond with a 5-1 run, taking a 22-19 lead. OU held Graceland to two points for the remainder of the set, taking the 25-21 victory.
