Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa women's lacrosse team suffered their first conference loss of the season as they were defeated by (2) Benedictine on Wednesday afternoon at AdventHealth Field.

The Braves scored the first goal of the game, but Benedictine would score the next ten by the first quarter's end. The Ravens led the second quarter 9-0 to take a 19-1 halftime lead. Benedictine started the second half with the first three goals, but Ottawa would score two goals before another Ravens goal. Ottawa scored the first goal in the fourth before Benedictine finished the game with the final three goals.

Rilee Barnett, KaiAnna Senne, Brianna Valadao, and Ashlyn Lopez scored one goal each. Barnett and Ashlyn Lopez made one assist each. Shelby Bearden made five saves in goal, Eliza White made six.

Ottawa (5-6, 4-1 HAAC) returns to the field on Saturday, March 29 as they host St. Ambrose University at AdventHealth Field. That game is scheduled to start at 4:00 PM.
