INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Ottawa University men's volleyball team defeated Simpson College 3-0; 25-21 25-17, 25-15 on Thursday night in Cowles Fieldhouse.

How it Happened

• Simpson took an early 4-1 lead over the Braves in set one. Ottawa answered with a 7-1 run, taking an 8-5 lead on a SC attack error. Simpson rallied and tied the set at 11 all. The Braves retook the lead on a kill and a block by Horia Filpisan, 13-11. Ottawa never surrendered its lead, and the Braves took the 25-21 victory.
• A kill by Kadeem Morris and a Marko Zolnjan service ace gave the Braves an 8-4 lead in set two. The Braves continued to hold their lead and after a kill by Zolnjan, Ottawa led 15-10. The Storm never threatened the Brave lead and OU took the 25-17 victory.
• The Braves raced out to a 7-3 lead over the Storm in set three. A kill by Akeil Williams and a SC attacking error gave the Braves a 12-6 lead. The Braves did not allow Simpson to stage a comeback and OU took the 25-15 victory.
