Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa women's lacrosse team opened their conference season with a win as they defeated Midland by a score of 25-3 on Thursday afternoon at AdventHealth Field.
It was all Braves in this game as they lead 9-0 after the first quarter, and 15-1 at halftime. A pair of 5-1 third and fourth quarters secured the 25-3 win.
Curstin Brown led Ottawa with five goals,
Ashlyn Lopez scored four.
Rilee Barnett,
Makayla Mason,
KaiAnna Senne, and
Faith Ruoff scored three goals each.
Brianna Valadao scored two.
Lilliana Lopez and
Isabella Pagliei scored one goal each. Senne, Valadao, and
Lilliana Lopez made two assists apiece,
Ashlyn Lopez, Barnett, and Ruoff made one each.
Shelby Bearden made one save in goal for the Braves and recorded the win,
Eliza White made two saves.
Ottawa (2-3, 1-0 HAAC) returns to the field on Saturday, March 8 as they travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana for an away game at (9) Indiana Tech. That game is scheduled to start at 12:00 PM Eastern/11:00 AM Central.
