Dubuque, IOWA - The Ottawa men's lacrosse team were defeated once more as they fell to Clarke by a score of 16-6 on Saturday afternoon.
Clarke started hot early, leading 4-0 after the first quarter. Ottawa got on the board with two goals in the second period, but Clarke scored five in the same timeframe to lead 9-2 at the half. The Pride extended their lead with 4-3 and 3-1 third and fourth quarters, taking home the victory.
Braydon Francis led Ottawa with three goals,
Mark Spells scored two, and
Tucker Yeley scored one for his first goal as a Brave. Spells and
Ashton Buckalew made one assist each, the latter being his first collegiate point.
Dylan Murano made nine saves in goal.
Ottawa (0-8, 0-6 HAAC) returns to the field on Wednesday, April 9 as they travel to Columbia, Missouri for a game at Columbia College. That game is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM.
