OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa men's soccer team wrapped up an undefeated homestand as they beat Tabor by a score of 3-1 on Saturday evening at AdventHealth Field.
After a scoreless first half, Ottawa struck first in the 47th minute with an
Arminas Gecas goal assisted by
Antonio Natalucci. The Braves added to that lead in the 50th minute as
Matias Mazieres assisted Jevan-Purcell Jackson. In the 67th minute, it was Purcell-Jackson that would find Mazieres. Tabor scored in the 68th minute, but that would conclude the goals for the game.
Ottawa lead total shots 16 to six and shots on goal eleven to three.
David Martinez made two saves in goal for Ottawa.
Ottawa (3-1-5, 2-0-2 KCAC) returns to the field on Wednesday, October 1 as they travel to Kansas City, Missouri for an away game at Avila University. That game is set to kick off at 3:30 PM.
