The Braves have an overall record of 2-3 and are on a two game losing streak. Ottawa enters Saturday's game coming off a 70-28 loss to McPherson College last Saturday in McPherson.

Luke Edwards leads OU in passing, he is 90-162 through the air for 1,110 yards. He has thrown five touchdowns, is completing 55.6 percent of his passes, and is averaging 222 yards through the air per game. Anthony Powell leads the Braves in rushing, averaging 51.4 rushing yards per game. He has 257 yards on 60 carries and has scored three rushing touchdowns. Powell is averaging 4.3 yards per carry. De'Anthony Curtis is OU's leader in receptions with 27. He has 433 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Curtis is averaging 86.6 receiving yards per game and 16 receiving yards per reception. Ethan Yinger leads the team in tackles with 31. He has two tackles for loss and two pass break ups. Teagan Flynn is OU's leader in sacks with seven and Elijah Hann leads the Braves with two interceptions. 

Saturday is the 72nd meeting between Ottawa University and Friends University. The Braves lead the series 39-31-1 but the Falcons are on a two game winning streak. Friends won the game last season in Wichita, 38-7, on Sept. 7. Ottawa has not won at home against Friends since Oct. 23, 2021. OU won the game 28-14. The first time the two teams met was on Oct. 24, 1914 in Wichita. Friends won the game, 21-2.

OU has a record of 31-99-1 against ranked teams and is 15-46-1 against ranked teams in Ottawa. 

The Falcons are on a five game winning streak after defeating (RV) Evangel University 53-0 last Saturday in Wichita. Friends had 546 yards of offense, holding the Valor to 124 yards. 

Friends is on a five game winning streak and are ranked no. 6 in the NAIA Football Netting Professionals Top 25 Poll. 

Friends has only thrown 19 times in five games this season, an average of 3.8 times per game (8-for-19). 

The Falcon offense is averaging 552.2 yards of offense per game, 494.8 yards rushing and 57.4 yards passing. Friends is scoring 61.8 points per game. Opponents are averaging 133 yards of offense per game, 112 yards rushing and 110.6 yards passing. The Falcon defense is allowing 7.2 points per game.

 K'Vonte Baker is 6-for-12 through the air for 217 yards and two touchdowns. He is completing 50 percent of his passes. Baker also leads the team in rushing. He has 415 yards on 49 attempts. Baker has scored 12 rushing touchdowns and averaged 8.5 yards per carry. He is averaging 83 yards rushing per game. Jace Martin and Samuel Becker have two receptions apiece. Tyson Wallace leads the Falcons in tackles with 26. He has five tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass break up. Makhi Byrd has 16 tackles and five tackles for loss. He has one sack and two recovered fumbles. Tyler Lane and Taeylon Garland lead the team in sacks with 3.5 apiece. 

The Falcons have only allowed a total of 36 points through five games and has two shutouts. The most points the Friends' defense has allowed in a game was 15 against Tabor College on Sept. 20.
