OTTAWA, Kan. – The (RV) Ottawa men's wrestling team is hosting the York Panthers on Tuesday in Wilson Field House.
The Braves last competed at the Newman Jet Open.
Jayden Nowell won two matches and
Samuel Moery won one match in the 133lb weight class. In the 157lb weight class,
Cale Hein picked up three wins and Trae Tralar won one match.
Spencer Rochelle won two matches in the 174lb and
Jaelyn Sides took down an opponent in the 184lb weight class.
Jaron Alf secured fourth place in the 197lb weight division, Alf won four matches (three by decisions and one by a fall).
Espyn Sweers won three matches in the 197lb weight class also and Steven Elwell took down two opponents in the 285lb
weight division.
Ottawa is Receiving Votes in the latest NAIA Top 20 Poll.
Julian Gorring is ranked 13th in the 184lb weight division.
Ottawa is 5-2 in program history against York University. In 2025, Ottawa fell to York, 36-19. In that dual,
Jayden Nowell won by fall over Elijah Kaawa in the 141lb weight class.
Asher Larson secured a fall victory over Conner Thurston in the 149lb weight division.
Spencer Rochelle earned a victory by fall over Cameron Campos in the 174lb weight class.
