Women's Bowling Finishes Sixth at NAIA West Open

LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Ottawa women's bowling team finished second twice at the NAIA West Open tournaments.

The Braves finished second on Saturday with a 4,656 total for five team games. Jayna Yockman made the All-Tournament team in fifth place with a 999 pin total for five games. Brooklyn Peck finished sixth with a 979 total for five games.

On Sunday, Ottawa finished second with a 4,480 pinfall for 25 baker games.

The Braves finished sixth across the weekend with a 7-3 match record.

Coach Poston's Thoughts
"Overall, I was pleased with our effort. Our lineup looks a little different second semester. Major opportunity for a few of them to get major reps this week and next before we head into the conference tournament on the 21st. The experience they got last weekend and next should help them settle into their roles. Happy with both varsity and JV's heart and toughness."
