SHAWNEE, Okla. — The Ottawa University softball team showcased its offensive firepower in a dominant win over Oklahoma Panhandle State University, before falling in a tightly contested pitcher's duel to Columbia College later in the day.
Game One: Ottawa 10, Oklahoma Panhandle State 2 (5 innings)
Ottawa wasted no time taking control, erupting for 10 runs on 12 hits to secure a five-inning run-rule victory.
After a scoreless first, the Braves plated three runs in the second and never looked back. A four-run fourth inning broke the game open, highlighted by clutch extra-base hits and aggressive base running.

Ottawa found itself in a classic pitcher's duel despite matching Columbia with five hits.
Columbia scored the game's lone run in the first inning, taking advantage of an error to push across an unearned run. From there, both pitchers settled in.
Lanie Becker was sharp in the circle for Ottawa, allowing just five hits and no earned runs across six innings. However, Columbia's E. Schouten struck out 11 and limited the Braves to one walk to keep Ottawa off the scoreboard.
Ottawa threatened in the fourth inning when
