FULTON, Mo. - The Ottawa men's lacrosse team suffered defeat once more as they fell to Mount Vernon Nazarene by a score of 27-2 on Thursday evening in Fulton.
Mount Vernon Nazarene was quick on offense and oppressive on defense, powering their win with 8-0, 4-2, 10-0, and 5-0 quarters.
Cameron Brown scored both of Ottawa's goals unassisted.
Dylan Murano made 18 saves in goal for the Braves.
Mount Vernon Nazarene led total shots 74 to 17 and shots on goal 45 to 11. The Cougars were 24 for 24 in clear attempts, Ottawa was 19 for 28.
Ottawa (0-5, 0-0 HAAC) returns to the field on Saturday, March 14 as they travel to Atchison, Kansas for their conference opener at Benedictine College. That game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
