ATCHISON, Kan. - The Ottawa women's lacrosse team opened conference play with a loss as they were defeated by (1) Benedictine by a score of 26-0 on Saturday afternoon in Atchison.
Benedictine had scoring quarters of 8, 7, 6, and 5, all while holding Ottawa scoreless.
Saniya Watt made twelve saves in goal for the Braves.
Benedictine led total shots 49 to three and shots on goal 38 to one. The Ravens were six for seven in clear attempts, Ottawa was eight for 24.
Ottawa (0-7, 0-1 HAAC) returns to the field on Saturday, March 28 as they Host Mount Mercy University at AdventHealth Field. That game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM.
