OTTAWA, Kan. – Ottawa University softball player,
Emma Melvin, has been named KCAC Softball Player of the Week the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
Melvin, a senior designated player from Sunnyvale, Texas, hit .571 (4-for-7). She scored one run, hit one home run, drove in three runs, had a 1.000 slugging percentage, and a .571 on base percentage in two games last week.
Ottawa (14-9, 2-0) returns to the diamond on Wednesday, March 18 in Leavenworth, Kan. against the University of Saint Mary. Game one of the double header is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
