(RV) Softball Battles Back Twice to Sweep Saint Mary

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - The (RV) Ottawa Braves showed grit and timely hitting on Wednesday, rallying late in game one before outslugging Saint Mary in game two to complete a doubleheader sweep, 5-3 and 12-8, in Leavenworth.

Game 1: Ottawa 5, Saint Mary 3
Ottawa leaned on clutch hitting and a steady performance in the circle to secure the opener.

After falling behind 2-1 in the second inning and later trailing 3-2 in the fifth, the Braves delivered when it mattered most. In the seventh, Ottawa plated three runs to flip the game. A two-RBI double from Emma Melvin tied the game, and a sacrifice from Braxton Stainbrook brought home the go-ahead run.

Lanie Becker went the distance, limiting Saint Mary to three runs while working through nine hits and keeping the Spires off the board over the final two innings.
