How It Happened
Ottawa set the tone early, opening the scoring on a four-yard touchdown scramble by
Anna Anderson midway through the first quarter for a 7-0 lead.
The Braves broke the game open in the second quarter, scoring four touchdowns in a five-minute span.
Kailey Verhoeven connected with
Isabella Sosa, followed by
Jaida Bayron finding Sosa again from 22 yards out. Anderson then hit
Olga Sotillo twice—including a 66-yard strike—to push the lead to 34-6 at halftime.
Ottawa continued to control the game in the second half. Anderson added another rushing touchdown in the third quarter before the Braves piled on 20 more points in the fourth. Bayron and Anderson each threw touchdown passes, and the defense/special teams unit capped the scoring with a punt return touchdown finished by
Marley Spielberg.
