(1) Women's Flag Football Shutouts (RV) Southwestern, 43-0

OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa University women's flag football team delivered a dominant performance on Saturday, shutting out Southwestern College 43-0 behind an efficient passing attack and a defense that forced multiple late turnovers for touchdowns.

Ottawa set the tone immediately, marching 66 yards on its opening drive. Quarterback Anna Anderson completed a series of short passes to move the Braves down the field before finding Alyssa Linkous for a two-yard touchdown pass to give OU a 6-0 lead with 7:53 left in the first quarter.

The Braves struck again late in the first quarter. Anderson scrambled and lateraled to Olivia Cadiz on a creative play that set Ottawa up at the two-yard line. Two plays later, Anderson connected with Linkous again for another touchdown, pushing the lead to 12-0.

Ottawa continued its offensive rhythm in the second quarter. A steady drive highlighted by completions to Cadiz and Tatiana Dos Santos ended with Anderson hitting Linkous for her third touchdown reception of the game with 5:14 remaining in the half.

Just before halftime, Anderson engineered another scoring drive. With only seconds remaining, she found Marley Spielberg in the end zone for a nine-yard touchdown reception, sending the Braves into halftime with a 24-0 advantage.

The Braves added to their lead early in the third quarter with one of the most explosive plays of the game. Anderson completed a pass to Olivia Cadiz, who lateraled to Tatiana Dos Santos. Dos Santos raced downfield for a 72-yard touchdown, and Anderson's extra point extended the Ottawa lead to 31-0.

Ottawa's defense took over in the fourth quarter. Jukanie Washington intercepted a Southwestern pass and returned it 59 yards for a touchdown. Moments later, Dejonice Parris picked off another pass and returned it 60 yards for a score, sealing the Braves' 43-0 victory.

The Ottawa defense consistently pressured Southwestern's offense, breaking up passes and recording several key flag pulls while forcing the late turnovers that put the game away.
