OTTAWA, Kan. – The (20) Ottawa University baseball team fell 7-3 to Oklahoma Wesleyan University at Alumni Park on Friday afternoon.

Ottawa got on the board early with aggressive base running in the second inning.
Jeremy Freeman, Jr. sparked the Braves, reaching base, swiping third, and eventually scoring on a wild pitch to give Ottawa a 1-0 lead.
Oklahoma Wesleyan responded in the third with a two-run inning, highlighted by a solo home run and an RBI single to take a 2-1 lead. The Eagles continued to lean on the long ball, adding solo home runs in the fifth and sixth innings to stretch the lead to 4-1.
The Braves answered in the sixth when
Jalen Ryan launched a solo shot to left field, cutting the deficit to 4-2 and bringing energy back into the Ottawa dugout.
After OKWU added another run in the seventh,
Garrett Dodd delivered a big swing for Ottawa, blasting a solo home run to center to make it 5-3 and keep the Braves within reach.
Ottawa threatened late, putting runners on in the eighth, but a double play halted the momentum. Oklahoma Wesleyan added two insurance runs in the ninth, and the Braves were unable to respond in the final frame.
