Melvin Named NFCA NAIA Region IV Second Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 147 student-athletes from 63 schools who comprise the 2026 NFCA NAIA All-Region teams.

Ottawa University senior designed player, Emma Melvin, was named NFCA NAIA Region IV Second Team. She was named First Team All-KCAC, finishing the season with a .428 batting average (62-for-145). Melvin scored 10 runs, hit 14 doubles and two home runs, drove in 32 runs, had a .566 slugging percentage, walked 16 times, was hit by a pitch three times, had a .491 on base percentage, and was 1-for-2 in stolen base attempts.

NAIA All-Region Teams

The awards honor student-athletes from the Association's six NAIA regions with selection to one of two teams. NFCA-member head coaches nominate and then vote for the winners in their respective region.

If they were not already voted to an All-Region squad, conference Players and Pitchers of the Year from member institutions are added to the second team in their region, so long as they are nominated by their member head coach and receive votes.

All honorees move forward to be considered for selection for the two NFCA NAIA All-America teams, which will be announced June 4.
