LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Ottawa University softball team continued to excel in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, earning recognition in the Easton/NFCA Team GPA rankings while 19 Braves were named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.
Ottawa finished No. 14 in the NAIA in the Easton/NFCA Team GPA rankings. The rankings recognize the academic success of softball programs throughout the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's membership.
In addition to the Braves' team recognition, 19 Ottawa student-athletes earned 2025-26 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors. To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the academic year.

Across the collegiate ranks, 8,850 student-athletes earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2025-26 academic year. The NAIA had 655 student-athletes earn the distinction.
NCAA Division I led all collegiate divisions with 2,637 honorees, followed by NCAA Division III with 2,491 and NCAA Division II with 1,869. Junior colleges had 1,190 student-athletes recognized.
Team GPAs and individual Scholar-Athlete honorees are submitted by NFCA member head coaches. The academic awards recognize softball student-athletes and programs for their achievements in the classroom.
