OTTAWA, Kan. — Ottawa University head dance coach Lauren Wilson is pleased to announce the addition of Jordan Menefee as an assistant coach with the OU dance program.

Menefee brings a strong connection to Ottawa University along with a background in dance, coaching, communication and leadership. She currently works at Ottawa University and has been part of the University community professionally since January 2022.

"We are thrilled to have Jordan join our program," said Wilson. "Having her return as an alumna makes this opportunity even more special, and we're excited to welcome her back to a community that she already knows and loves. We can't wait to see all that she will bring to the program!"

Menefee earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Ottawa University. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in December 2021 before earning a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources in December 2023. She also earned an associate degree in general studies from Johnson County Community College.

Her professional experience at Ottawa University includes serving as a graduate assistant in human resources from January 2022 to May 2023, HR recruitment coordinator from May 2023 to July 2025 and HR operations specialist since July 2025. Through those roles, Menefee has gained experience working with students and employees while developing skills in organization, communication and leadership.

Menefee's background also includes experience in coaching and dance, along with strengths in effective communication, flexibility and working with people.

"I am extremely grateful and honored for the opportunity to be brought back into the sport that brought me pure happiness for many years, and I look forward to doing the same for the team," said Menefee. "This program helped make me into the person that I am today and can't wait to give back. I've experienced what it was like to be a National Champion as a dancer and can only hope and pray I am able to do it again but as a coach."

Menefee will begin her duties right away.
