OTTAWA, Kan. – Ottawa University junior linebacker Ibrahimi Mahdi has been named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.

Mahdi, who hails from Plano, Texas, finished OU's 42-15 victory over the University of Saint Mary last Saturday in Leavenworth with 11 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.

The Braves (2-0) will return to AdventHealth Field on Saturday, Sept. 12 against Sterling College. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
