2025: As a junior, Melvin played in 43 games and made 42 starts. She had a .355 batting average (43-for-121), scored 17 runs, hit 11 doubles and four home runs, drove in 34 runs, had a .545 slugging percentage, walked 17 times, was hit by a pitch six times, had a .455 on base percentage, and was 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts.
2024: Melvin played in 32 games and made 26 starts as a sophomore. She hit .260 (20-77), scored three runs, hit four doubles, drove in 17 runs, had a .312 slugging percentage, walked eight times, and had a .352 on base percentage.
2023: Melvin earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors at designated player as a freshman. She played in 52 games, starting 51. Melvin had a .306 (41-134) batting average, scored 13 runs, hit 13 doubles and four home runs, drove in 35 runs, had a .493 slugging percentage, walked 21 times, was hit by a pitch nine times, had a .433 on base percentage, and hit the game winning grand slam in the NAIA Opening Round against the University of Saint Francis.
High School: Melvin earned four letters in softball at Sunnyvale High School. She was a First Team All-District selection, was an Academic All-District selection, was named District Utility Player of the Year, was named Max Preps Player of the Week, and earned Academic All-State honors.
Personal: Daughter of Angie and Scott Melvin ... biology major. She played travel ball for the Texas Glory under coach Leigh Ann.
