2012: Hanks redshirted.

2011: In his first season as a Brave, Hanks appeared in four games for the Braves. He started and played in three games in goal for OU. Hanks played in 272 minutes, had a 0.9 Goals Against Average (GAA), 12 saves, two shutouts, and a 2-1-0 record.
 
Allen Community College: Hanks earned two letters in soccer and one letter in basketball at ACC.
 
High School: At Hayden High School, he was a two year letterwinner in basketball, earned four letters in tennis, and one in soccer. Hanks helped the Wildcats to a 2008 Kansas 4A State Championship and led the tennis team to a third place finish at state. Hanks earned Honorable Mention All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-City honors in both soccer and basketball
