Biography

Entering her final collegiate season Ramsey has appeared in 84 games and is averaging 10.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. She has made her mark in the OU record book in her first three seasons. Ramsey is ranked 19th in the OU record book in career scoring (845), ninth in career rebounding (523), 18th in career field goals attempted (675), 18th in career field goals made (297), 21st in field goal percentage (44%), seventh in career free throws attempted (362), seventh in career free throws made (245), fifth in career blocked shots (94), 14th in single season scoring (394), 17th in single season rebounding (216), seventh in single season blocked shots (51), 16th in single game scoring (28), 25th in single season scoring average (13.6), fourth in single season free throws attempted (161), and second in single season free throws made (123).

2012-13:  As a junior Ramsey had career highs in points (13.6) and rebounds (7.4). Ramsey finished the season ranked 19th in the NAIA in blocks per game (1.7) and 19th in total blocks (51).  She scored a career high 28 points against Kansas Wesleyan University (1/19), made a career high nine field goals twice with the last being against Bethany College (12/8), attempted a career high 19 field goals versus MidAmerica Nazarene University (11/6), made and attempted a career high in free throws (12-14) against Kansas Wesleyan University (1/19), tallied a career high 12 rebounds and six assists versus the University of Saint Mary (1/12), and had a career high five blocks against the University of Saint Mary (2/14).  Ramsey was on the OU Honor Roll, was named to the All-KCAC Academic Team, and was a NAIA Daktronic Scholar Athlete.

2011-12: Ramsey started and played in 26 games as a sophomore. She averaged 9.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Ramsey tied her season high of 17 points against Bethel College (12/8) and her season high 11 rebounds versus Tabor College (12/10). She attempted a season high 14 field goals twice with the last being against Tabor College (12/10). Ramsey had a season high eight made field goals against Haskell Indian Nations University (11/15) and had a season high four blocks versus Kansas Wesleyan University (1.18). She finished the season ranked 46th in NAIA Division II in blocks per game (1.1).

2010-11: Ramsey appeared in 29 games, starting 20 for the Lady Braves in her first collegiate season. She averaged 6.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game on her way to being named to the All-KCAC Freshmen Team. Ramsey had a season high 17 points twice with the last being against Friends University (2/19), a season high seven made field goals against Friends University (2/19), a season high nine field goal attempts versus MidAmerica Nazarene University (11/9), a season high seven made free throws versus Bethel College (12/2), a season high nine free throws attempted versus Benedictine College (11/13), a career high seven offensive rebounds versus Benedictine College (11/13), a career high 10 defensive rebounds versus Haskell Indian Nations University (11/29), a season high 11 rebounds three times with the last being against Haskell Indian Nations University (11/29), a season high four assists versus Benedictine College (11/13), a season high two blocks versus Southwestern College (2/24), and a season high three steals versus Park University (11/19). She scored her first collegiate point and tallied her first collegiate rebound against William Jewell College (11/2). In the fall of 2011, Ramsey earned the Dudley Geise Champions of Character Scholarship.

High School: Ramsey lettered three years in basketball and three years in track for Olathe Northwest High School. She helped the Ravens to the 2008-09 Kansas 6A State Basketball Tournament. Ramsey earned All-Sunflower League Honorable Mention and was recognized as a NAIA Champions of Character in 2010. During the 2009-10 season, Ramsey led the team in field goal percentage (42), blocks (45), and earned the Raven Award. In 2008-09, she shot 50 percent from the floor.

Personal: Daughter of Mike and Vicky Ramsey ... born June 9, 1992 ...exercise science major. She was the OU Dudley Geise Champions of Character Award Winner and was named to the KCAC Champions of Character Team. Ramsey is a member of the Women’s Basketball Leadership Circle, part of the Braves Athletic Council, part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and is a Resident Assistant.
