Johnson County Community College: Farres earned two letters on the volleyball court for Johnson County Community College. As a sophomore, she appeared in 38 matches and 123 sets for JCCC. She finished the year with 84 kills, 1,248 assists, 26 service aces, 267 digs, and 83 blocks. Farres had a career high 54 assists against Des Moines Area Community College (10/18/13). In her freshman season, Farres played in 28 matches and 95 sets. She had 168 kills, 12 assists, 66 digs, and 50 blocks. She had a career high 17 kills against Independence Community College (8/29/12).
High School: At McPherson High School, Farres was a three year letterman on the volleyball court. She was named to the Kansas 4A All-State First Team as a senior and was selected to the 4A State Tournament Team after helping the Bullpups to a runner-up finish and a school record 44 victories. She was an Honorable Mention Kansas 5A selection as a junior. Farres was twice an All-Ark Valley-Chisholm Trial League First Team selection and was a Second Team selection as a sophomore. As a senior, she recorded a career high 502 kills, 39 aces, and had 30 blocks, 260 digs, and 302 assists. In her junior season, she had 422 kills, 370 assists, and a career high 272 digs. Farres finished her career with 1,055 kills, 1,047 assists, 725 digs, and 103 service aces. She was selected both the Sunflower Bank Star of the Week and Month during her senior season.
