Biography

High School: Asher  was a three year letterman in baseball and football for River Valley High School. As a junior, he helped RVHS to an overall record of 20-11 and a section runner-up. On the pitcher’s mound, Asher finished with a record of 6-4 and a 2.88 ERA. He had 32 strikeouts and was named RVHS Defensive MVP with a .976 fielding percentage. At the plate, Asher had a .341 batting average with 28 hits and led the section in RBI’s with 29. He was a First Team All-TCC selection. In his sophomore season, he was named RVHS Pitcher of the Year, finishing with a 2.73 ERA and 51 strikeouts. On the football field, he was named Offensive MVP for two straight seasons at quarterback.
