High School: Romig earned letters in basketball, track, volleyball, and scholars bowl for Waverly High School. On the basketball court, she helped WHS to the 2015 Kansas State Basketball Tournament and earned Second Team All-League honors. In volleyball, Romig was named to the 2015 Kansas State Volleyball All-Tournament Team. She earned Honorable Mention All-State honors and helped the Bulldogs to four state tournaments. Romig was a two-time All-League selection in volleyball for WHS. She was nominated for Athlete of the Week four times during the volleyball season. In track she was a three-time Kansas State Track and Field participant. Off of the playing field, Romig competed in State FBLA from 2013 to 2015. She was a Kansas Honor Scholar in 2015, a National FBLA Qualifier and Competitor for Entrepreneurship in 2014, and earned the Leadership Award in 2015. Romig was her class vice president (2012-2016), was 4-H vice president (2014-2016), and a 4-H county council member (2014-16).

Personal: She is the daughter of Terry and Sandra Romig and plans to major in accounting. Her sister, Ashley Romig, is an All-American forward on the OU women’s basketball team.
