High School: King earned four letters in basketball, two in football, and three in track for Hughes Springs TSD. He was a two-time All-District performer on the basketball court for the Mustangs. King earned First Team All-District honors in football. He was the 400M Dash District and Area Champion on the track. King averaged 16.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, and two blocks per game as a senior.

Personal: King is the son of Amanda King and plans to major in accounting.
