2016: In his first season in an OU uniform, Abenes played in 13 games on his way to earning Second Team All-KCAC honors. He scored one goal and finished with three assists for four points. Abenes took 11 shots with seven of them on goal, had 33 ground balls, and 21 caused turnovers.
High School: Abenes earned four letters in lacrosse and three in football for Mount Vernon High School. He helped the Majors to a 2012 District Championship, a 2014 District Championship, and he participated in the Nova Shootout All-Star Game. Abenes was named the 2013 SLHS Tournament Defensive MVP.
