Indoor 2019: Engel ran a time of 1:19.88 at the Crimson & Gold Invitational in the 600M. He earned All-KCAC honors in the 800M with a time of 2:06.30

High School: Engel was a three-time state track and field qualifier for Oakley High School. He also competed in the state cross country meet.
