Biography

2020: In a shortened season, McAvoy played in two games and made one start. She had seven ground balls.

2019: McAvoy appeared in five games, making five starts for the Braves in her first season of lacrosse. She took one shot and had two ground balls.

High School: McAvoy lettered in basketball, soccer, and golf at Shawnee Mission South. She earned Honorable Mention All-League honors and was named HyVee Athlete of the Week. McAvoy was seventh in the Sunflower League in scoring. As a senior, she shot 37.2 percent from the floor and 70.5 percent from the free throw line.

Personal: Daughter of Pam Simmons and Greg McAvoy ... physical education major. McAvoy is also a member of the OU women's basketball team, earning Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors in 2019-20.
